I had my eyes on these and was quietly stalking them hoping to throw in a last minute bid or something on the cheap. But fair fairs. These are a cracking deal from every account I've heard of 'em.

Bob will recall that I use the 101/200 version of these, albeit with re-capp and upgrades to circuit. There are kits available to improve these (already excellent) amps, though whether the cost outweighs the improvement I'm never sure. I wanted this combination for ages,......

on behalf of uzzy; no, but nearly
The 220 version was more or less the same as the 200, but with better looks/connections.
Not sure about the electronics exactly but very similar.
Switch a few caps etc., and they stand up very well to current amps.

Further to this: In late 1982, Ivor Humphreys published a minor 'fix' to the DH 200 amp, to increase the Class A in the output. I still have the letter he sent plus the diagrammes and instructions! I also have copies of the 'Gramophone' review of the DH110/220 version (and the DH200....) which they were impressed with. Martin Colloms did a 'Can amplifiers sound different' article as well featuring Quad, Hafler, etc..

OK-which of us grabbed these at the last minute?
i decided to let it pass-nostalgia should stay in the past- but they were tempting, but my owned since 1980 set still sound good.

Wasn’t me. I saw there were no bids with 10 seconds to go and let the occasion slip out of hand thinking I could barter lower, only for someone to snipe it at the last second.

Main issue is I have no need for the pre-amp. Would rather nah the DH-200/DH-220 solo if possible.

It Cost How Much!?!

Bargain price in the end, the power amp goes for that amount and more.
