Has anyone heard of this TT & these speakers

Hi,

I was at a carboot today & I got speaking to a guy selling loads of vinyl & we got round to speaking about hifi.

He said he had, amongst his collection of hifi, a 'New Line Engineering' tt, badged NLE & he thought it had an SME tonearm, but he wasn't sure & he had some Fullers Audio 'Sphynx' speakers.

So have any wammers heard of New Line or Fullers Audio at all & yes I know Google is my friend but I wanted feedback from wammers & their knowledge of these two brands first please!!!

Missed this thread when it came up, but hit it when i Googled for them after firing up my pair again.

I've had mine for about five years, mostly spent in the "reserve" cupboard. Impressions are not bad but not great. The bass is a bit weak - I've been meaning to try going active with them but haven't got around to it.

They are three-way smallish floorstanders, with 6.5" Kevlar mid-bass and a plastic dome tweeter on top, with a downward firing 8" bass driver internally exiting through ports at front and sides.

They retailed during their brief existence for £1000 per pair, but didn't last long.... no idea where they were made. Have never come across another pair.

Did you buy them?
