Did you find the 006t a big improvement. Starting to look down this route myself.

jury's still out on that one!

with acoustic and vocal music, i much prefer the 006t. with rock, i prefer the srm313.

I'm tempted to buy the srm006t and run both except i havent got the money:cs:

obviously its definately worth you getting a dem of a nicely run in 006t before you make any decisions.

Koss Porta Pro

Originally released in 1984, the Porta Pro design remains unchanged to this day. In many ways, it still sets the benchmark for portable headphone design. This is an easy to drive, lightweight and rugged headphone that has stood the test of time.

But how does it sound? In a word: BIG. The Koss Porta Pro has physics-defying bass response. It isn't bloated or excessive, but deep and tuneful, something severely lacking from my Sennheiser PX200s. Porta Pros are good fun to listen to and don't easily expose the shortcomings of portable media, such as low bitrate.

The Porta Pros are the most comfortable headphones I've worn and don't suffer from the same "sweet spot" fitting of the PX200s. The "Comfort Zone" temporal pads are far from a gimmick and work very well.

Although I should really try the AKG portables, the Porta Pro are the only portable cans I've encountered that don't sound like they're portable. They behave like mid-sized cans and throw a soundstage as wide. They offer a dynamic, engaging listening experience and even have a good stab at imaging - something unheard of in portable headphones.

I've used various in-ear models including the Sennheiser CX300 and don't feel comfortable walking around cities with such a "closed from the outside world" sound. The Porta Pros let enough sound in without being irritating. They let sound out too though, so don't play shit music.

These days, Porta Pros can be bought for under £20 and comes with the Koss lifetime warranty.

It's may be hidden away in the depths of this thread somewhere but I can't use the search because I don't know what I'm looking for but I'm using my Senn 650s a lot more these days and remember (I think) that I can get a good cable upgrade from somewhere. Can anyone give me a link?

I have been using jabra elite ones and i think they are the best investment i ever did on headphones, before them i tried many brands like apple earpods, anker and many more. but it beats all of them. the sound quality is like a studio. and waterproof is very beneficial to save it from exercise sweat. if I will need to buy more. If you need better call quality than sport headphones can provide but don’t care for the bulky collar design of some other models, the BeatsX is a great option—especially if you’re an iPhone owner. Dollar for dollar, you can’t go wrong with the Phiaton BT 100 NC. No other Bluetooth earbuds in our test group pack so many helpful features into such a user-friendly package at an affordable price. These earbuds provide a comfortable fit and great sound quality combined with a moderate amount of active noise cancelling. And if the battery dies, they can work over Bluetooth while charging and can even work without power in listen-only mode if you plug in the included headphone cable. Although the BT 100 NC is a sweat- and splash-resistant model, the collar design gets in the way of most gym routines. But at under $100, often sitting around $70 retail, these earbuds are an excellent value.
