You should have asked them if they'll give you the rest for free if you agree to take the Coldplay CD off them

Our local one does 5 for £1, which is ridiculous value. When I'm close I always pop in as that's giving it away and occasionally they have interesting ones.

I've done the local charity shops a couple of time & bought cds but I only kept a few & the rest went back to be sold again so not bothered since.

I guess it's good for the charities though

It was not the best selection and needed to get to the 2nd set of 10 CDs for the deal

Instead of setting up a direct debit to the charity just go in and buy some CDs and return the ones you don't like. Only works if the charity you want to support has shops though

These seem stupidly cheap, they all want £2-4 around here and for records, they must think they are sitting on a gold mine. I never even think to go in these days even though I walk past often.

I hesitated at first, then went for five crates of cd's on Freecycle, around 500 . I sorted through, then took eight bags to the charity shop, kept around 50 and gave a bunch to my oldest mate. I've also got five nice IKEA crates with lids
