For what it's worth I think £2750 for a brand new STA15 is very good value.

I like the way they have organised all the components on the pcb. Not all higgledy piggledy like most circuit boards are. Its a nice detail.

I'm finding utter clarity in my 60th year. The world seems to be going quite insane, so I buy hi Fi. On a more realistic note, the backup amps would need to go to enable such a purchase. But, bottom line, **** it, eh

Trust me, I get it totally.

The only difference is that I'd find a way/excuse to keep the backups as well

Anyway, buy the Radford. A quick rummage in the garage suggests that horrendously, it may be the one older UK amplifier of which I have no examples awaiting attention.
