Hi all,

I will be collecting a Sugden A21a next week from Latoilette and I am very much looking forward to hearing the new part of my hifi chain.

As the sugden is a bit 'mature', and I am sure I have read that the input sensitivity is 150 mA, will I need attenuators for my sources. Sources will be the Havana DAC with 2.6V output, the minidisc is 2V, TV and Sky box.

Has anyone else experienced problems? Will there be distortion? Or will it all be OK but I will only be able to turn the Sugden up to 1 for full output?

Many thanks in advance, Lee :upgrade:

Hi Lee,

You've probably already got the Amp now but my experience is you'll be needing something like -20db attenuation. I tried -10 to start with but it wasn't enough with all the volume happening before 9 o clock.

Happy listening,

Ralph.
