Hi All

My little used Quest has recently started making a clacking noise that I can replicate by lifting slightly and releasing the sub platter

Ive tried running the TT with the puka weight for extra load but the noise is still there

Its either the sub platter and or bearing as i can hear it when i remove the drive belt and spin the sub platter by hand

To take it back to inspire is a full day of driving, how easy is it to replace the bearing and sub platter

Ive got a lot of time for Robert at Inspire but this TT isnt his best, when investigating the noise I found a allen screw rolling round inside the 24v motor/ power pack

Any advice

Cheers

John

HiFi Trade?
  1. No
Try tilting it one one way then another way and spin without the belt. This may give you more information.
