Hi all,

In previous years the show has taken out Public Liability insurance to cover any 'accidents' in exhibitors' rooms by wammers/visitors, sober or drunk. In previous years this has been approx. £5 per room and would be the same this year.

However, we have asked our insurer (HISCOX) to cover cancellation / abandonment. This is necessary we cannot risk another financial loss like the late cancelled Kegworth 2020 show, we obviously hope this doesn't happen but we want to give assurance to all exhibitors that their payments are safe if something goes wrong in the autumn. The forum simply cannot fund another loss.

Indicative cost for this is £3 per room, so £8 per room total. We hope that you all see this as a sensible measure.

kind regards,
Paul

I was a very competitive quote, process managed by my broker as a favour (he's CEO and member of my rugby club)
Maybe but Hiscox premiums have been soaring in the last few years, someone has to pay for the tv ads. When my broker switched to another Lloyds syndicate my premium went down around 40%. Brokers get large commissions so maybe yours did you a favour.

If you can’t fill all the rooms I will take one .
Kindest regards Julian
Hi Julian
we have allocated all of the rooms that we think suit exhibitors, although the building is rather 'ahem' random ;)
there is a subs list that I created over the weekend and you are now #1 on the bench, for now could you please enter your accommodation & meal requirements here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...bPJUZmK9ib9vC7TPKGAfpkgEbI/edit#gid=714415783

It is also a hotel requirement for your full name please

we will be asking for payments from listed exhibitors very soon, for now don't do anything.
If someone drops out then I'll ask you for a kit list and we will sort payment.

kind regards,
Paul
