Intermittent radio problem

Hi.

I’ve been getting a strange problem on BBC Radio 4 whereby a sentence from the next item suddenly inserts itself into the previous item. The stream then continues seamlessly, repeating the inserted part. It started happening a few days ago and it comes and goes intermittently. I’ve been back to the previous version of Davaar but the problem persists.
Is anyone else experiencing this ?

This afternoon I’ve listened to Radio 4‘s PM programme from 5pm and this ‘restarting a sentence’ thing has happened a few times in one hour.

I’ve switched to an Amazon Echo to see if it occurs again. Are you still getting it?

I thought I heard that on Radio 2 this afternoon, and that was on the car FM radio.

I hear this sort of thing quite often on Dab radio in the car. Put it down to digital mischief!

yes still getting the problem - must be down to R4

There have been reports on the Roon forum of similar issues with BBC radio channels so it does indeed seem to be the beeb at fault.

Thanks, that’s a shame. I didn’t get it on the Amazon Echo over the next hour, nor did I back on the Linn on Radio 3 from about 7:30pm.

Maybe it’s the radio server, or whatever it’s called. I’m listening on Airable now since Linn moved away from TuneIn. I think it’s still on TuneIn so maybe that’s a factor? What service do you use?

Dunno..I haven’t changed anything so I think it must still be Tunein.

On my iPad, the Linn app shows a little logo I’ve highlighted. And it shows on the ‘Browse‘ tab too.

As I said earlier, I heard it on the car radio (non-Linn) on BBC Radio 2, so must assume the issue lies with the Beeb.

Hadn’t noticed but there is an infinitesimally small ‘Tunein’ in the bottom left hand corner.

That’s it! So it’s not the ‘supplier’ or whatever they’re called.
