I have had to transfer all my music from one computer to another 6tb of material , the only problem is I can't import any of my artwork as had to copy the album artwork folder across as a separate entity!. Can anyone suggest a Mac compatible program which will extract and convert the .ipc files in one go , any help appreciated

GraphicConverter will open and, as the name might suggest, convert just about any image format you can throw at it. I'm pretty sure it's got a batch convert mode too, although you may need to upgrade to the paid (but still cheap) version for that - http://www.lemkesoft.de/en/start/

I've never heard of the .IPC file format though. What application were the files created in?

Thank you so much for suggesting that program it's absolutely just what I was looking for , brilliant it's exporting the covers from iTunes now in batch as well , quite a technical program but excellent all the same !.

Glad to hear there was a happy ending! GraphicConverter has been around ever since I got my first Mac back in the mid 90s and every release seems to add more features.

The only thing with it is that it's downloaded all the files in numbers for example 1124557.jpg etc which means you can't actually search for an album cover unless you look at each one and there are 4,400 album covers!. If your looking for something obscure it can take ages and has done today. Also the program copied everything in triplicate iie, the same file in 60kb. , 250kb and in 600kb , which lead to 3 x as many covers in the folder?. Don't know why it did that ? , maybe something to do with the way iTunes organises these files, but that's well over my head. Thanks anyways.

A good program if you have a few albums but when you have a few 1000 can be quiet a challenge.
