If you've a sense of humour find a book called "One People" by Guy Kennoway. It's a proper, laugh out loud, book all about how Jamaica and it's people and language were shaped.

Cant recommend this highly enough.

An utter masterpiece and has some of the finest lines ever written. "Before you go rule the world, pick up the broom and sweep the yard"

Dean knows I love the Jimjam culture, and Harder They Come sums it up perfectly.

Not sure I'd want to hear people analysing it. I'd rather just watch it again. And again and again.

Isn't this a repeat? I vaguely remember something similar, or mebbe I'm thinking of the series done by Don Letts.

I agree that it seems as if it's all been done before, but IMO well worth re-doing. Maybe because I was born in Africa, and taken as a slave to Liverpool-Wales-lots of UK.
