I finally got around to doing a bearing oil change on my LP12 Friday afternoon , using one of J7's kits. I gave the deck a good going over with the duster too. Not sure whether it was the oil that did it but I've been playing records ever since and feel a whole lot better about my deck now...

It is all new...but inspired from Syrinx PU3, as an evolution...and made for me

It is a custom made 11" length arm, (planned for my SP-10, when base/platform is finish).

I set it up for trial on my SP-15, with a DENON DL-304, and did the finetuning with help from the latest HIFI News Test LP.

It took me almost 3 minutes(!) to tune it to perfection !!! It tracks perfect even on band-9, the "torture-test", and with this pickup it has a self-resonance at 9Hz. (really great watching the arm wiggle at this test, but still playing perfect).

Everything operates smooth, the feel is solid, almost SME V like. But no SME can match the looks or the sound!!! Soundstage is HUGE !

I think it is slightly warmer than the SME V I used to have, but difference is small. Anyway, IMO the SME 309/IV/V are too light for most MC carts.

The DL-304 is rather fresh yet, so it will need a few more hoursbeforeit performs atit's best.

And, you may buymy arm, offers over £5000 are considered
