Jolida FX valve Dac Mk3 - upgraded, with headphone jack
Well regarded dacs - very musical. No solid state anything, just a true valve gain stage.
Has a headphone socket as well and the volume pot controls the RCA outputs so can act as a preamp as well.
This one is very much upgraded. It is more expensive than recent listing for three reasons:
1) Only just rebuilt at expense and still burning in
2) Has two Sparkos regulator upgrades
3) Mills resistor upgrades on the power board - one that feeds the tubes
Other mods:
4) Silver wired output with silver plated rca sockets
5) 2 of the 3 high voltage caps upgraded (power supply), as well as 1x Modwright film cap
6) Low voltage caps now Toshin (used these a few times now - quite like em)
7) Always wanted to try a pure tin foil output cap in these dacs but the Mundorf ZN’s would not fit. Managed to get the Audyn version just in!
8) Fuse is the new updated Wilbrand being a pure silver element in a beaded tube for stability.
9) Tubes are old stock Motorola branded, likely RCA’s.
A superb and musical dac. Lots of kick!
