Just returned from the Hexagon.
Im a sucker for swing and RnB so there was lots to like here: a 12 piece brass section, some lovely female singers, JH's virtuoso piano playing, a great drummer and the likeable bandleader's rapport with the audience.
The performance was nicely balanced with some boogie woogie, blues, a great Stevie Wonder number and a fun uplifting finale with the singalong stuff.
Musicianship on display was first rate.
Audience was interesting - no one under 30 (bit like the Wam really..)
