Looks good...but for me a 'classic' mini has to be on 10" wheels - then its like driving a roller skate - I had a 100 bhp 1293cc mini on 10" rims with Cooper S front discs loads of fun

Bloody gorgeous. I absolutely love that.

My first car. Probably the same for many car enthusiasts of a similar age, I lusted after Minilites and extended arches. Instead, I spent my little spare cash and countless weekends ripping the engine out and taking hours with power tools to gas flow the head and manifolds and improve whatever I could on a limited (very) budget.

Didn't end up that bad mind you. Once I got a half-sensible job, the Min got played with in small rally events and I bought something (not) sensible for running about in. Mine died upside down in a Welsh ditch, but it was enormous fun getting to that point and incredibly educational.

A 'real' mini teaches more about proper driving than most do. Fantastic first car for anyone really interested in driving.

Cool! Believe it or not I've owned 4 classic Minis including a '65. :)

I had a (non-BMW) Cooper once, brand new and with a walnut dash. I loved that car. A mate borrowed it to go and get some fags, totalling it in the process. :x

Looks great - what model is it ? Looks in top condition :^

I had an 1100 special when we first got married and I loved it. Wasn't the fastest on the straights but made it up for it on the corners :)

It is a mini Balmoral with sport pack wheels and arches like a cooper. 1.3 mpi engine. 1998with 28000 miles. Very refined compared to his old 92 998 Mayfair.

Bought a Mini, brand new in '63/'64. Biggest load of crap imaginable. Yours looks a lot better than mine did :)

Very lovely.

I grew up with Minis as they were my Mum's car of choice. Hers were usually a little modified, (just simple stuff like Janspeed exhaust etc) and I remember them being great fun when she launched over hump-back bridges. Hmmmmm wonder where my petrol head tendancies came from.....

I had a drive of a mate's 1275GT and thought that was the mini to have, until someone else I knew did a B16a transplant into one (and then added throttle bodies!) - whoeeee, that was crazy fun!

That's the only mod I did, a one piece Janspeed exhaust. I don't think it did anything for the performance really but certainly looked better...

I was too young to know if it did anything .... I just liked the noise it made

This one has had a little bit of fettleing but the only visible mod is the stainless exhaust which gives the old A series a very nice burble and almost pops on the overrun. The stereo isn't getting much use in it!!
