Does anyone in UK stock the wee felt bits on top of the suction thingy , or do you have to send to Yankland ????

I'm sure a source of homemade ones could be found chezi, but for taylor made it may have to be the American Isles.

Aye they do , I even played then cleaned and played a spankin new Lp and it sounded a lot more open.

Was a bit wary at first but used a couple of old scabby Lps first but its a doddle to use so I cleaned Fear of Fours £45 and Lamb's debut album £37 noo their shiny.

Got about 70 to clean then I'll have to do the ones I cleaned with that junk RA sold me.

Every Lp I buy new or 2nd hand gets cleaned and a new poly-lined inner sleeve then a 400g poly outer for the complete package. Then stored upright and in alphabetical order in a custom built box , a bit anul possibly but easier to find.

Covers33 :cool:for all sleeves as you can buy heavy or lightweight outers and if you order before noon they will be at your door next day.

Soondz like an advert , that does. Fone 01422822679.

Ialso recommendcovers 33 as they do provide an exellent service. £18.00 for a hundred poly lined including postage is what I paid.

Hey Chezi,

sounds like your having fun, i bet your twirling finger is sore after cleaning 40 LP's
smile.png
.

What fluid are you using ?

I also use covers33 polylined inner sleeves, excellent VFM.

As far as the velvet suction slot liners go i reckon that a quick e-mail to KAB USA would be your best bet. Maybe buy a load of them and sell some spares on to others... Do the moth machines use a similar method for their cleaning slots , perhaps one of these would fit.

I will have the same problem with the Okki , but not for a while yet...

BTW, the Pink Floyd 'Echoes' box set ( arrived this morning

) is making full use of the two external phono stages I have at my disposal at the moment. We need to arrange pickup or drop off of the Gram2, etc, although i'll quite happily keep it warm for you for longer......

Hiya S&C,

Surprised that the Kab is actually not as painful to use as the Knosti and as a bonus....dry records.

I can nip up on Sunday if that's OK , if your working let me know and we can arrange a more suitable day.

I use a different method with my KAB. I turn the twirly thing by holding it with all five fingers. Surely the one finger in the twirly hole method is quite a difficultway of turning the record? Not that I've tried it mind.
