We had a power cut last night and now cannot connect our server to Roon. Roon cannot find our Antipodes but it does say make sure LMS is turned off. What does this acronym stand for?
Moral: invest in a UPS. It will at least protect your kit when they turn the power back on again, and if playing an LP will allow you time to rescue the stylus. I used to have some boxes from Maplin that would keep the electrics up for long enough to power-off gracefully, even though I don't really like lifting the stylus off a record while playing (you can get a nasty click on the record). We had a power cut last night
We don't use a tt, only streaming. I thought if you had a power cut it was only like switching the on/ff switch, but it also affected my Lumin, (everything had frozen) in fact I have had to reset and download the app again.Moral: invest in a UPS. Things that set up connections with other things often do not work well if powered off without warning and then powered up again. They tend to get confused, and then sulk. That's cheap and badly-designed software for you.We don't use a tt, only streaming.
