Hi!

They look brilliantly constructed. I had been thinking of constructing a run of 10 pairs but someone's beaten me to it. The plans are 90 pages long and these must be one of the most complex designs ever built.
I have compared the TP1A with the modern TP1 and the sound is extraordinarily similar. Very much top rate, although when testing the modified full range units I make from time to time in an Acousta and a TP1A in an A-B comparison, one does wonder whether there is £XXXX difference in the sound.
The great thing about the TP1A is that it's something that people don't recognise as being a speaker. It's a strange shaped piece of furniture that does't scream hi-fi.
In the TP1A, however, I prefer the PM5 to the PM2 version of the PM3: the treble is better.
Best wishes
David P
