After a wait of more than six months, my Etna has finally landed.

Straight out of the box, the improvement on the already very good Kleos SL is obvious. Early days, but I would sum up the relative superiority in terms of increased authority and weight, combined with a more natural, subtle and refined presentation – with greater insight into the music (Suzanne Vega's 'Solitude Standing' sounding more emotionally engaging than ever): in short, more of everything associated with the Lyra sound.

Thanks to John @ Audio-T in Brighton for his expertise and work in fitting the cartridge and servicing the deck.

More to follow as the cartridge beds in :)

Wow, that sucker rides low - my Argo rides even lower! Haven't had any issues with slightly warped records but a bad warp would definitely bottom out.

Lyra's seem to ride super low! I dont know why, but all of the models I have seen, including mine, ride in the same manner. I have not had any issues with warps etc., but i can imagine at some point it could be a factor. Also, when you look at some of the 200 gram LP's and then at the ride height, it's a little weird.

Maybe not quite as low as that pic suggests. Here's another image. Lyra say that VTF should be set so that the cantilever is perpendicular (i.e. at 90 degrees) to the front cartridge housing: by this standard the body should be slightly lower, but still well clear of the record surface (I'm tracking at 1.7g). tempImageAunI2Q.png

That looks well ok in that pic.
I’ve seen far worse and don’t think that is an issue at all. (y)

I think that's what Lyra calls the "new angle". Rides a tad higher than the old ones.

Is it the original SE or the SE/1?
Did you bend the connectors on the tags to get it as much backwards as it shall to get correct overhang?

That looks fine to me. I have a Lyra Atlas and it rides at a similar height to your Etna. I have never had any issues at all with its ride height (y)

Looks good to me too.
@sktn77a I dont believe the new model Lyra's ride higher than the old models, if anything a little lower. The new angle design is part of aligning the coils when the cartridge is actually tracking a record, as such it aligns the coils once under load.
