Anybody have any thoughts on the Marantz NR 1200 or suggestions of alternatives.
One thing it absolutely must have is a way of picking up a remote and pressing one button to switch the radio on to a pre-tuned station (wife friendly).
Apart from that I don;t need all the inputs on the marantz and my priority is music quality with Analoge and 1 Optical or Coax inputs, HDMI is useful but definitely bottom of the list and would chose better quality without.
It's to replace a Denon M39 (don't need a CD) in a kitchen living area that's being moved elsewhere and will hopefully be an upgrade from the Denon at the same time.
Budget, I'd go up to £1000 if there was a big difference but am much happier around the £500 level.
Alternatives I've been considering are:
Bluesound Powernode - paying quite a bit for the streaming function and have a WiiM Pro
Technics SA C600 - Quite like the narrower design but not much more poerful than the Denon
