There's a, pretty healthy BO scene here on the Southcoast, I hold 4 a year and my 7th Anniversary BO is coming up in mid November along with Steves in a couple of weeks, both of us are always open to newbies attending so just get stuck in. Theres been some damn fine friendships built of the back of these in particular myself (Chichester) wizmax (Hayling island) and Speedracer (Ferndown) are in regular phone contact and frequently visit each other.

I am all in for this. South Coast here I come. I much appreciate the extended invitation here. This is the best thing I've ever done, moving west from the dreadfully changed-for-the-worse place that I came from and grew up in. I wonder whether being within your location takes in marine activities, for my late God mother and elderly husband, a sea faring gent, used to run a business called Piper Marine in either Eastergate or Westergate, and her parents, my great aunt and uncle, lived in Bognor Regis. They've all sadly passed away now. Thirty years ago all this when I visited each year.

Is the Lehmann the SE with the separate power supply? If it is, it is very capable and be careful before ditching it.

It’s not an SE and has a std power supply . It was less than £ 300 brand new 20 years ago .. it’s obviously a performer as it’s still available today …I’ve used it with a Linn Ittok / cadenza bronze and Benz SL
I will arrange to try a new phono stage and cartridge when I do the cartridge upgrade…

Without knowing your exact space limitations, a small-ish form factor phono worth trying would be the Trilogy 906i, or maybe a second hand 907, if you can find room for the separate PSU. Not heard one personally but they seem well-regarded, have decent flexibility for cart loading options and are compact
