you can modify the base of the bearing by adding a m3 grub screw to the outer lip , that will stop the spindle unscrewing , if you use a normal screw you also have some where to earth the bearing , there is just enough room to put a m3 screw with out going into the oil well,

?? Not sure What you reply to .A drawing would help. Never heard of the spindle unscrewing or become loose. I am more curious which way to turn to loosen it. Why should I earth the bearing ? the bearing has contact with the chassis and the chassis's is grounded via the arms phonolead ground wire, (5 pin SME) Would not an extra ground path create hum..

I bought a new belt and it is about 3 cm (1 inch) shorter than the old one. Is it the old belt that stretched so much or did I buy a fake one?

Yes old belts stretch, check the wow on all 3 grooves and run with the best

I changed the oil in the bearing and it seemed to me that the ball was slightly deformed. You can feel it when you twist your fingers.
Please tell me where to buy a new ball. Even if it only seems to me, psychological peace is more expensive.

I was a bit of a tonearm sceptic previously, but having gone from an arm similar to yours to the Morch, I’m a convert. To use a film analogy, expect things to go Technicolor!

Michell can make up an armplate for a Moerch tonearm, but I ended up making my own out of hardwood. As the wood is lighter than the metal version, I have added additional weight to balance the whole chassis (1kg total is need in that corner, including tonearm and armplate). Car wheel balancing weights are good for this.

You could take the opportunity to change out the steel ball for a ceramic one and add a little ZX1 to the 5:40w oil to make a super slippery lube
