If it's been built correctly, it is no more dangerous than any other. Pete doesn't have a brand name, but there would be a long queue on this forum if he started producing on a larger scale.

I am just saying that I personally would not touch any valve amp that wasn't professionally built, as I wish to continue to live a bit longer than touching the case when it's on.

But that's like saying professionally built valve amps never break. :dunno:

The only difference between amateur and professional builders is that one does it for profit. There are many very competent amateurs out there, and the seller here is possibly one.

If this amp has been put together properly and been in use in his own system, it is as reliable as any other. They are all a kit of parts, no matter who made them.

For the record, electric shocks are unpleasant. I've had a few! But they are not all lethal, obviously!
