so I own a nice old Tascam 301 mk2 deck but I have never had the manual , I have looked up online , but I need to understand how the thing records , using the volume activated thing , and how to set it etc, for levels, I am doing a bit of live recording , soon I think it like the sony smart spaces, but I don't understand how it gets set up , as I don't have a remote, I might be knackered , .
I do have a nice sony mds 780 with the manual and I still after reading it don't really understand the various stnd by record ways of settting the bloody thing,
any help step by step greatly appreciates, I know I should just use a lpa top of some hard disk recorder, but I am still going with the mini disk , for the moment,
