so, day 2, the missions are coming to life!
@TIU you were right, they needed some hours of burn in. Everything is sounding less edgy, sweet, yet with enough detail, and the bass is excellent like on day 1. Now, going back to the Linton, having compared the cabinets, the Linton s have a sense of hollow, whereas the mission cabinet barely resonates to a knock knock test. Explains some of the softness/echoing I always attributed to the Linton s. As far as looks, they are both wife proof and almost identical, the Missions being 2 tones darker. The gold accents on the Linton s give them a nice retro / ch love that favric.ic touch, it not a big deal. The stands of the Linton s are better looking and quality, but they come in separate two boxes the size of the speakers themselves, so I understand why the mission s come with a simpler stand that needs to be assembled.
