I had some 780 Missions between these two, a much bigger speaker than the OP wants.Apologies if it's an unwelcome distraction in a Classified, but the model numbering that Mission used was confusing! As far as I can tell, what most people refer to as the 780 Mk1was actually the second generation.
The first generation, dating from the mid-late 80's were the 780 Argonauts (as already referred to by Lawrence) which were available as either stand-mounts (with tweeter above two mid/bass drivers) or floorstanders (with tweeter between the two mid/bass drivers). The floorstading variant is briefly described here, for example: https://www.stereophile.com/content/mission-system-mission-780-argonaut-loudspeaker
The second generation are the type in the photo above - available with either Mission or Cyrus branding - and they were upgraded as 780SEs part way through production. I like these a lot (currently have 4 pairs in regular use!).
And then the third generation (commonly called Mk2) were the smallest of the model, and distinguished by the fact that the keraform cones were either too alkaline or too acidic, so that almost every one of the mid/bass drivers failed a short while after warranty had expired!
Fair do, my assumption after all. Thanks for the informationApologies if it's an unwelcome distraction in a Classified, but the model numbering that Mission used was confusing! As far as I can tell, what most people refer to as the 780 Mk1was actually the second generation.

Hmmm... yes, but they appear to have "782" printed on the front. I may be going out on a limb here, but doesn't that make them Mission 782's???
I still have a pair of these boxed up. They were lovely in a smaller room but couldn't cope in my new larger listening room.
It’s ok bud, keep hold of them, I really appreciate the offer though.I have a pair in Rosewood, also have the Mission stands they made for them.
They have quite a lot of sentimental value for me - the Mrs bought me them when our daughter was born.. So, don't really want to sell them, but you can borrow them if you wish?
