Give them a bell, will be quicker. Could also get to audition before splashing the cash, and possibly talk them into a discount.Waiting for them to answer a few questions about it….
I have bought and sold a few things with Nick and have never had a problem. This included a problem with a Graham Phantom tonearm that he kindly gave a full refund on.Never dealt with them…
I would go for remote and as many steps as you can get, I sold on a pre as it had 24 steps and I could not get the volume right.I’ve just spoken with him about the baby reference, seems like a nice chap.
Not sure what to go for…this 10 year old reference 24 step model, or a new classic v2. No idea of the difference at this point..
The classic is good, BUT, the Baby Ref just stomps all over it. Ask Nick for a loan to see if you can live with a 24 step volume.I’ve just spoken with him about the baby reference, seems like a nice chap.

It looks as though the ones marked up to 40 have 40 volume settings even though the marked numbers have increments of 2 i.e. give finer volume contro than those marked only to 24, but you'd be best to ask. What’s the difference in how the volume works?? 1 dial goes 1-24, the others go up in 2’s to 40 something???
