A couple of months ago, I have bought a mint (almost never used) Musical Fidelity AMS CD player., for a very good price.
This was MF flagship cd player, back in 2010’s, and was part of the Anthony Michaeson Signature line. It is built like a tank, and is filled with the best MF could offer at the time, although it feels less bold than the transport and dac combo of the earlier KW series.
The cd drive is the CD-PRO2, one of the best ever, but this time, instead of top loading, it uses a thin aluminum drawer.

Everything works great but the disc clamping system is too rustic and noisy for a GBP8000, but I wonder if there is some wrong with my AMS CD...
As for the sound quality, I think it is one of the best cd players made in UK, and the digital input (coaxial and aes/ebu) is also a great feature to have - a norm in the later MF CD players.
But I believe it was too high priced and MF didn’t sold many...

So I wonder if there is any MF AMS CD users out there?
