Listened to the new Naim classic 250 this afternoon, with Spendor D7.2 speakers.
I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. It sounded more like my system (Restek).
Plenty of mid-range detail and top-end separation of instruments.
Articulate tuneful bass and for my ears a far more satisfying listen than I got from previous Naim systems.
I was told they have retuned the sound and it does remind me of how they used to sound many years ago, although with more detail and rounded in their presentation.
So well done Naim. I am not in the market myself, but I don't doubt they will sell many of these classic series.
