I'm a big fan of guitarist Grant Green and Third Man Records are making "Live at Club Mozambique" available on vinyl in November.

This 1971 recording lay in the Blue Notice vaults for 35 years until a CD release in 2006 and if Spotify is anything to go by the sound quality should be excellent which seems to be a rarity for "newly discovered" live records that have been released recently. Contains the incredibly funky "Jan Jan".

I'm a big fan of the Jazzman label's "Spiritual Jazz" series (as well as the majority of their other output) and #15 forthcoming in November looks to be a good one "A Tribute To Trane". As the name suggests it's a collection of John Coltrane covers/homages.

Also had to mention this new release "Black Classical Music" from Yussef Dayes. One of the most accomplished contemporary UK jazz albums I've heard to date. Really looking forward to hearing him and his band live at the Royal Albert Hall next month.

I'll be there for Ezra Collective. They've just won the 2023 Mercury Music Prize so should be a bit of a celebration. The band's come a long way since I saw them at the Battersea Arts Centre about 7 years ago when they were support to Sons Of Kemet (!) and I bought a copy of their first EP "Chapter 7" from one of the band at the side of the stage during the interval.

Anyone know anymore about this chap, as I'm obsessed with this tune at the moment? There's two more singles on SoundCloud, but nothing else. I think the compositions and production are amazing considering he only has 79 followers on SoundCloud.
