Just attended the Tokyo International Audio Show, and Linn were well represented. The Japanese brochure shows the Majik LP12 with a tonearm that I’d never seen before, complete with Linn logo. I asked a Linn representative about the tonearm. He informed me the Majik LP12 would be equipped with a new, Japanese made tonearm starting in December, and that the Project tonearm would be going away. He also said that the new tonearm sounds way better than the Project arm.
