I'm greatly enjoying my Audio Technica ATH-W1000x closed backs' but would like to move up a level or two if that's possible. Headphone amp is a MF HPA1 and the phones must be closed back. Finding it difficult to audition, so would appreciate a good consensus from which to form a short list.
Anticipate budget 12-1500 ish

Many thanks

I had the ATH-W1000x a few years ago and then auditioned Audeze Lcd-xc and found them a good step up from the AT.
Since then I auditioned ZMF Atticus and Eikon. Owned both of these but sold the Eikon.
Eventuality sold the Lcd-xc.
Both the Lcd-xc and Atticus are IMO a step up from the AT.
Both easy to drive but different sound signatures. The Lcd-xc is quite heavy to wear though.
I find the Atticus very comfortable.

Thank you, that's useful info!
