It’s not immediately obvious unless you’re familiar with Audio T, but they are one of a group of dealers trading under that title. This device has been shared around for a year or so. I guess they’re happy to let it go for a good discount and replace with a new one.

Dealers in the US are required to keep Linn demo units on the floor for at least a year. I expect it is the same in other countries. At that point they can sell it and buy another demo. Demo units are priced with an additional discount below normal dealer cost. So the customer gets a good deal on the demo unit, they still get a good warranty and the dealer gets to put a fresh unit on the floor. A win-win situation.

yes, it’s counterintuitive, because the new one will sound the same as the old one.
