Same old, same old. In my opinion, what some people spend their money on makes no sense. Doubtless, those people would look at my parts collection and probably faint if they knew what some of the bits are worth, never mind the stuff in the system. Either way, I couldn't give a rat's orifice.

It's my money and as long as the bills are paid and I don't owe anyone anything, what I choose to spend it on is nobody else's business. If you have an opinion and it involves telling me how I should spend my own money, then take your opinion, print it on a sheet of A4 paper, coat it in olive oil, fold it six times, and ram it where the sun doesn't shine.

Well..I've just managed to snag myself a Tesco system. Look in the classifieds for my (now) surplus kit. Sounds marvellous straight out of the box.

@E600 you are new here so we make some allowances Wammers are not easily coerced the expression like herding cats is really accurate . Check out the systems listed by many on here not a list of What HiFi award winners is it ?

Seriously though, I doubt many of us really want what could be described as a 'value Hifi'. We're all spending money on what is clearly a luxury for our own enjoyment.

Think my comments source has been lost in the mire, I suggested. In response to another comment about flash cars, that many so called flash cars are not owned by the person living in the house, as opposed to hifi, which most probably is.

this led to mentioning PSPs, which if you look into the financial model of “car ownership” is in my view an utter scam….

This is not a scam and PCP's are covered by the 1974 Consumer Credit Act. You put in a minimal deposit with am option to buy the car at an agreed value in 3 or 4 yrs time .
