Nothing new for dealers to ask for more than you would pay in a private sale. Especially with the mates rates you see on here.

It is a bloody good amp, no doubt about it.

Well it's how dealers make a living. The web has screwed print in the same way. People give trade a bit if a rough time, but expect support, advice, demo's and trade ins, and that all costs plus paying his way. One guy allowed me 700 quid trade in to swing a deal on an item that cost me a third of that, so sometimes it cuts the other way.

Plenty of stuff changes hands here for 20% of RRP, when the rest of the world seems to work on 50%. It's hard to use the wam to gauge the average price of anything. :D

I sold mine for £1400 guy heard it in my home, I took a deposit and loaned him it for 2 weeks no obligation and he kept it, I was happy and so was he again what price for that, money takes no account for sound, I paid £3500 for a hovland saphire, it was crap to my ears in my system, the Unisis would see it off all day long, so is the Unisis worth3.5 k? All depends what you want and with a dealer you probably get some sort of warranty.

i would pay that if I wanted one, but if you can get one cheaper especially the sig, then buy it. It's a cracker.

Well the listing says it's an 'Absolute BARGAIN!!! so he must be under charging. :dunno: Now where's my cheque book. :nup:

I reckon £1200 +/- is about right from a reputable dealer with 3-6 months warranty, and £1k max privately.

But unless I'm mistaken this is a private eBay listing (don't trade sellers normally have to put their contact details on the first page?)

I stand to be corrected but some of his other listings show new and ex-dem kit so I would suggest he isn't a private seller......

some of his prices are rather high. A 4 year old chapter précis for £5k, eh I don't think so ..... I bought a brand new one from Chapter for less than half of that and it came with the fancy remote.

seen some of that seller add... always though his wording sounded a bit wrong : upgrading? a bit like the WOW you use to see... a first impression that raises an instant veil of suspicion... maybe or not founded...
