I've decided to let my gorgeous pair of Thöress 300B amps with Elrog valves go. I bought the amps new directly from Reinhard Thöress (super guy!) and the valves new directly from Thomas Mayer (another super guy!). I have all the original packaging for both the amps and valves.
They work perfectly and, of course, produce that sublime SET sound. I've really hardly used them, as I switched to a SS multi-amp setup pretty much as soon as they arrived. They've been sitting in their boxes for the last 5 years or so. I reckon 100 hours in total on the Elrogs, conservatively. (You're welcome to bring a valve meter to verify this.)
Can demo with my Tune Audio horn speakers.
Retail price for amps and Elrogs was around £10k. As they're virtually new, I'd be looking for something around the £5500 for both the amps and valves. (The valves alone cost over £1000 new.) Location: Leamington Spa (easy to get to from pretty much anywhere in the country).
