Well.....I don't know why I do this, but something has been offered that I need to try , so this needs to be moved on.
No doubt I'll regret it, but It's what we do!
The legendary 3 box pre from Pass Labs.
The main unit can be stacked, or as I preferred , kept apart from the boxes with the sensitive stuff.
Connected via the 2 special cables at the rear.
The Pre can be used to single amp , or Bi Amp, as there's a Master and Slave.
If Bi Amping, the slave can be dialled in or out via the wheels at the front, to balance power amps of different output, as I'm doing.
Balanced and single ended ins and outs , many, the manual online gives lots of info.
Sonically, where to start.....
It's a £16,000 pre from Pass.....just spectacular. Many reviewers use it as their reference.
Fast, dynamic, quiet....
It's been updated by the XP32 , sees to have more steps on the volume control, but no other difference it seems, now nearly £20K.
Some small dinks on the top of unit 40 , and a bit of a scratch on the top of 41, but the front fascias are perfect.
Remote too.
And original boxes.
