So any owners of the perlisten yet ? been a fair bit of hype as is usual for a new brand. does it live up to the hype ??

the s4b looks interesting as a bookshelf speaker

Saw a YouTube comparison of thr R7 vs flagship S7 and he rated the R as very close SQ wise and hard to justify the extra for the S. Always take these reviews with a pinch of salt. Hi Fi news rated them highly
Curious if you might find a coin slot located on the rear. Facilitate Pay per listen?

I have listened to a couple of the Perlisten models at the UK distributors office and they came across really very well . What got me and one of the chaps there was the S5M imaging . Without any doubt the best depth of image on any speaker i have ever listen to ,so much so we both looked round for rear speakers !!

Wow that sounds good . Got some tannoy eaton legacy here that take some beating for imaging .be good to compare the 2 standmounts together

yes , at the dealer to pick up an amp and he has on demo so curious to try . one is looking for new speakers at some point but will probably be verity or bigger alchris but you never know !!

Ah sorry, I thought there was more to your comment (i.e. just out of interest, has anyone used these and what were your thoughts) etc

We have the R4b in store - they're my apprentices favourite stand mount speaker.
We were driving them with a Cyrus pre/power combo last weekend and it was a pleasing combination.

yes they are a bit more reasonably priced than the s range .

the model below the s4b is the r4b which are about 4.3k . managed a session with some today . good imaging , smoother than i though and BIG sound for a standmount . listened via a big hegel power amp and lumin dac/ streamer . not bad at all . would like to hear the floorstander at some point .
