Managed to pick up an absolute bargain the other day.

I was playing with the idea of a 300B valve amp untill i saw this, A Red Rose Music Model 5 it uses 4 el34 valves looks absolutely stunning nice aluminium goes great with my Wizard 2 cdp.

These when they where new cost £8k but i was laughing all the way to the bank with what i paid for it.

Sound wise i was expecting the bass to be rather thin but not at all. Detail andpresentation is better than the wazoo xl. The music sounds more real which is what i was after but didn't want to lose anything the bow had. But this offers more so that made my decision easier and decided to keep the RRM.

Very close dave your right it was advertised at £5000 new but store made mistake with price but agreed on deal and didn't withdraw it. Hifi News reviewed this amp at £8000.

But won't say what i paid in case i want to move it on;)

So many mags and dealers mess up prices, we had a thread on it I think the other week

don't wish to pry, but where did you get it from? I had my eye on one of these, and was wondering if it was from the same place?

looks seriously nice, but not quite as nice as these
