So apart from the fact the phono stage doesn't work, the volume and selector switch are noisey and probably some other things, it's fab.

all those things can be resolved, supposed to be a very good pre amp.

It is, but it's a £400 pre-amp that's busted and needs £100 to £200 worth of work, so you work out if it's worth the money. Also it has shitty DIN inputs, I hate DIN.

Lump of casework missing too. Oh and the most important bit, the bit that made the difference from day one when it got excellent reviews, the battery packs. :doh:

The phono was a changeable job on a socket. Probably unobtanium. 2k new when I was a lad, for a complete one.

Running it on mains is no problem, but it is known to sound better on batteries. I liked mine, but not sure I would want to go back for seconds. :dunno:
