i don't think you will get an active pre-amp with proper xlr circuaty second hand for that price, but good luck.:dude:
my advice for all it's woth is save your dosh,, i used to sell linn , it was ok but i found it made fall asleep, personal i guess, question if you don't mind why xlr, balance ?found a Linn LK-1 for £120. is that good and should i get one with the DIRAK psu or does it not make much of a difference?
could i better it for over £200 with all my requirements?
so it doesn't neceserally have to be balance circuit desing does it, if not i can ask friends in the retail to see if they have some px stuff, beacause i want to take the signal out of the pre amp then into my Tannoy TS8 Sub which has a high pass filter (the connectors are XLR) then from that into a power amp then on to my speakers.
cool, tomorrow i will make a few phone calls and inform you of what is available , is that ok ?:dude:well, no, but it makes it easier and its a good excuse to upgradefrom my NAD L53#and that Linn LK1 is quite cheap...
no probs, let me find out tomorrow to se what they took in p/x. keep informed, by the way i grew up with tannoy spkrs, still got a pair of cheviots brand reconed witch i am going to sell (thanks wife)yeah, what kind of thing might u be able to get?would be interested in a part exchange with my NAD L53.
