Preamp advice please

Hi all.

I have an Usher r 1.5 and Magnepan SMGc.

I want to buy a preamp (i would prefer with dac). Can you recommend something. Not very expensive!

I prefer used if you have something in mind.

The Usher 1.5 need a preamp with lot of gain.

A valve preamp will get the best out of them.

Once you hear these amps with a decent valve preamp you will not want to use anything else.

I have two of them and have done a fair bit of experimentation with preamps including the Usher preamp.

The Mystere preamp is a good combination and not too expensive.Or perhaps the Doge 8 .
