Prima Luna prologue classic integrated valuation needed

Hi, I’m struggling to price a prima Luna prologue classic integrated I’m about to sell.

It’s fully working, inc cage and boxed.

The tubes are upgraded tung sol KT120 & amerpex.

The usual sold items on Hifi shark & eBay are not helping me determine the price.

This is not going to help much, for which I apologise. I've seen two PL amps sell recently at quite low prices. I don't no why apart from the obvious reason that all used gear is struggling to shift at the moment.

On the plus, they get good forum 'press'. I've ranted about My 5 a couple of times, it's stunning. I prefer it to the the vintage iron I've owned, Quad, Leak and yes, Radford.

Plus you've got real worth in the KT120s in there, what are these new now, 300 or more ?

I suppose the asking will be based on whether you bought it new and what you paid (new or used).

Bottom line, these amps deserve a good price !

I think the issue would be that the Prologue isn;t a current model, so I couldnt imagine it getting 60% return, but maybe with all the price increases, it could still pull a decent premium.

Interesting balancing all this, the older gear was much less in cost but in all likelihood just as good. Many variables !

That sounds about right. I bought one of these right here on The Wam for about that many years ago…
