@tarkus2 has one of these amps for sale and I’ve expressed my interest in buying It.

I think there are enough inputs for my needs (see below) but I’m confused as to whether there is a signal out function that allows a recording device such as a minidisc recorder.

I need to connect the following:
tuner - analogue via RCAs
CD - to be purchased
Tascam MD 350 recorder which has RCA and toslink in and out (ie 2 of each - one for play: one for record)
Chromecast Audio device - connecting to the coax input

The specification from the website says this

mINT Features
  • Built-in ESS Sabre DAC
  • 24/96kHz USB input
  • 24/192 Toslink and Coaxial input
  • No drivers required
  • 2 sets of gold plated unbalanced (RCA) inputs
  • 2 sets of gold plated unbalanced (RCA) outputs (For use with a powered sub, etc.)
  • 100 watt per channel power amp (8 ohms)
  • Differential design
  • Headphone amp
  • Fully functional remote control
  • 12V DC Trigger input (to automatically activate HT Bypass mode)
  • 12V DC Trigger output
  • Home Theater bypass
  • Extremely low noise floor
  • True Resistive-Ladder volume control
  • Extremely low Idle power consumption
  • Rugged construction
  • ½” Machined and anodized front panel
  • 66kΩ input impedance
  • External selectable mains 115/230VAC
  • Compact size (8”W x3.5”H x 8”D)
  • 9 lbs.
Are there any other users on the forum that can confirm whether there are sockets that give a signal out to my MD recorder ? RCA is fine (the toslink seems to go into the amp only - not out again)

Can a further power amp be connected to this integrated in future? This isn’t essential if it has plenty of drive

It would be used on Boenicke W5 speakers but not at loud levels. It would replace an ATC SIACD all in one using a smaller footprint

thanks!

According to the Absolute Sound review it has both preamp and fixed volume RCA outputs.

So, yes, you could use the mINT as a preamp into a separate power amp.
And also feed your MD recorder from the fixed RCA outputs.

BTW, I'm currently using a W4S DAC1, and it sounds great imo!
So I would recommend the brand on that experience.

Thanks. I had read the manual but was still confused because the audio out referred to a subwoofer so I couldn't make out whether that would feed a recording device or a power amp. Looks like the amp can't feed both at the same time if I wanted to add a power amp??

It can feed both at the same time, I think.

The subwoofer output referred to in the manual would need to follow a volume control (otherwise the sub wouldn't change in volume along with the main speakers). So you can use that to feed a power amp instead of a sub.

The manual is quite clear. There is a fixed out, that can also be a main in, dependent on a switch position. The fixed out is 2V, which is fine to take to the analogue in of a recording device.
