Rapberrry Pi 4 and Volumio and DSD

I use an Rpi 4, MoOde into a Topping E30 Ii and have no problem playing DSD files?

I'm listening to Tidal-Connect hi-fi on one of these atm. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.

Hi and an update . I had my tech savvy friend come round to try to get the Xiang Sheng 05B to play DSD . From the specs we could not ascertain whether both DSD direct and DOP could only be done via Windows - the specs are confusing to say the least . We got a very quiet sound via DOP but not lisenable and gave up on DSD direct as this would appear to to require the proper Theyscon paid for driver and software on my laptop that would send DSD to the DAC via USB . A USB cable linking laptop to DAC. All too much hasle .

So my last question has anybody who has ever owned the Xiang Sheng 05B got it to play DOP?

Nb this DAC plays non DSD files really well so not to bothered but would have been nice to try .

One final update . I don’t know what I did but the Xiang Sheng 05 b ( not 05b2) now plays DSD DOP . So far only tested DSD 64 sounds lovely and DSD 256 doesn’t work at all. . I still wish I could find the windows driver for this DAC so I could at least try DSD Direct 512 which it says is supported via Windows only . Tried to email Xiang Sheng got no reply anybody else own this DAC who can point me in the direction of a download link and a free DSD for Windows player . I tried to download Hi Solid but got confused as the instructions were not the clearest .

Hi Solid is a bag ache, you have to send them an email for a software release code but nothing happens, I think its defunct now.

Ah thank you will try these . Have emailed Xiang Sheng twice to try to get the link for windows 10 driver . Hopefully they will reply to as need this to . Nobody seems to own this DAC .
