Here's a long shot.

I have a Cyrus DAD3 CD player that no longer reads CDs. If you go on eBay and you will find over 50% of these listed have this problem.

I am looking at replacing the CD mechanism with a CD ROM drive from a PC but the tray on these tend to be wider so it not a straightforward swap.

If you have done this or know of an IDE PC CD drive that is the same with as CD player (around 120mm or less), then what is the model?
Before people start posting suggestions "have you tried this, did you do that etc", I am only interesting in the IDE CD drive model. My gut feeling is the trays all the same width so I am scuppered. The drive must to be IDE, not SATA, as those have SPDIF output. And yes, I do have a controller that is in the process of being soldered up that will operate the IDE drive.

Thanks in advance.
