Is it true these are the hottest chilies you can get? Are there any other Scovilletastic contenders?

Dorset Naga, Naga Jolokia, Bhut Jolokia (commonly referred to as the "ghost pepper") to name a few - all variations of the same chilli I believe and all very, VERY hot.

HiFi Trade?
  1. Yes
A Scotch Egg cooked with Scotch Bonnet chillies would make a tasty supper. Washed down with a glass of Scotch.

(And a deep-fried Mars bar for pudding. Or some Murray mints.)

I am told (it's just a rumour, but who am I to scotch it) that there is a little known species, found in the environs of Kilmarnock, called the sweatyjock intensus (Latin name) which has been known to burn the retinas out of anyone that has even looked at it from a distance of over 100 yards.

Maybe one of our Northern friends can confirm it is not just a myth?

Only picked by virgins under a full moon, difficult in Kilmarnock as under 8s aren't allowed out after dark.

Ok, so they're rare then, but thank you so much for confirming their existence :^
