Clearly Akurate is ‘dead’ in that there will be no new Akurate branded products, and existing products will no doubt be replaced or rebranded in due course. But that doesn’t mean there will be no upgrades/replacement parts in the future. There is a significant product base out there and I doubt Linn will totally ignore it. That said Linn has limited development resources and will surely prioritise what gets done when as they seem best.
Just checked and mine still works - and it sounds surprisingly good despite having an inferiority complex, I think when I told it I was keeping it and its place in the rack was assured it smiled, but can't be sure.
Motivated by your post , I just checked mine and it works as well.
Strangely, mine seems to have gained some artificial intelligence, and plays music on demand.
I add a bunch of songs to a playlist and press play, and music comes out of the speakers. What will they think of next?

I’ve a Selekt Hub running to Katayst AEB-I driving 140’s.
The only “upgrade” I can see is Selekt Edition Hub which probably won’t make a significant difference, old version Klimax hub which would, or fully loaded Organik Edition and lose the Exakt.

I said here that there will be no more updates on the whole Akurare series, after the release of the Selekt, and I am convinced of it. but when the monster came out (NG Klimax Organik) I thought: ok, finished the updates for DS klimax and after one month...all DS klimax will get the update.
Have you 'dealt with the room' mine is fighting against my system so until they start working together I'm spending nothing on the electronics.
My latest upgrade might work. Passive Akudorik's, and sub from your front end will unquestionably scratch your upgrade itch in the right way. Yes, I'm talking my book.
Would you really want to lose Exakt ? I know it's not for everyone but I wouldn't want to lose it now its the best upgrade I've made for a long time.

I had a Majik Exaktbox-i, and 212's, and this new system in my signature, as should be expected, is better. Katalyst makes such a huge difference. I can say the speakers are also different, but because of the massive difference with Kat, I can't quantify the ratio the two upgrades have.

For what it's worth, i changed from am AEDSM, AEBox10, 6100 & 2100, exakt with 212's to selekt edition stereo organik and klimax twin, keeping the 212's.
Many reasons but mainly because i felt like i'd painted myself into a corner ref upgrades and flexibility.
New system sounds great, different, but better then previous, more 'organic' however how much of that is own to the selekt and how much down to the twin, i don't know.

I see Utopik upgrade is now available for the Selekt.
Any idea if it’s worth the price? Does the unit need to go back to Scotland?
