Esoteric are being unresponsive to emails so wondered if anyone out in wam land might be able to help me find a copy of the service manual

Esoteric are distributed by Onkoyo in Europe now and it seems they don't answer their emails. we have emailed Esoteric USA and Japan with no response either.

apparently my mute function is sticking on causing an issue with the volume

any suggestions gratefully received

There is a good chance that the mute circuit uses a transistor just before the output. You might need to get a scope on it to check what is happening to the signal. The transistor might have gone, but I think it is more likely that a resistor and diode further back in the circuit are giving you grief.
