Having finally had the return of my sugden that I lent to a friend about 8 years ago this fine amplifier is up for sale. Bought about a year ago second hand here on the 'wam. Generally in very good condition, no marks on the front however there are some slight scuffs and a couple of dings on the top that I've shown in the photos. They look less obvious in the flesh.
Its the earlier model before the change to the speaker binding posts, line level only. £600 + postage, collection + demo welcome or I can deliver if close enough to Sheffield. I have a Sonneteer box (not the original) with some of the original and some homemade inserts. Will be packed well and more than secure enough for postage.
I think these went for about £1.2k when this would have been new and are around £1.5k nowadays.
I've been through many amps in my time and love this one. It's been knocked out of place by a Sugden Masterclass which is the reason for sale. In terms of sound the closest comparison I've heard is my memory of a Sugden A21a I had at the start of my hifi journey but with a bit more umph. Wonderful richness to harmonics, no nasties in the treble and favouring warmth and musical involvement (whatever that is) over outright detail. A lovely bit of kit.
